At the time, one set of false eyelashes took around two hours to make, as each lash was individually fashioned and feathered with natural hairs! Arnold recalls losing money before developing a faster method to create them, but he knew the product was a hit from the get-go because his customers instantly adored them.

The daring duo was influenced and inspired by false eyelashes at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980, Ardell was recognised by beauty giants American International Industries. Their goal was simple to enable women to enhance their beauty and make their eyes look incredible with Ardell Lashes. Ardell quickly became recognised as being the very best supplier for realistic and high-class false eyelashes. Whilst the company has been well-known in the United States for half a century, the news has quickly spread across the pond in recent years too.
